However, there are some drawbacks to jaw crushers:
Relatively low productivity: especially compared with some newer crushing plants, the capacity per unit time may be limited. In a large-scale production line, several jaw crushers may need to work simultaneously to meet the output demand.
Uneven size of crushed product: The size distribution of the crushed material is wide, and subsequent screening and re-crushing may be required to obtain a more uniform size.
