Single Layer Banana Screen

Banana screen is widely used in coal grading, desliming, dewatering, and media removal, and can also be used for screening and processing in large-scale mining operations. Single Layer Banana Screen Working Principle

When the material enters the screening machine, the electric motor drives the exciter through the pulley, V-belt, and universal joint shaft, generating vibration force. These vibration forces are transmitted to the material through the screen box and screen surface, causing it to roll, flip, and slide on the screen surface.

Due to the shape of the sieve box resembling a banana, the material moves along the curved sieve surface and is constantly subjected to vibration force. During this process, larger particles of material quickly pass through the sieve holes, while smaller particles of material remain on the sieve surface. By selecting the appropriate sieve size, precise screening and grading of materials can be achieved.

Single Layer Banana Screen VS Double Layer Banana Screen

1. Screen Box Shape: The screen box of a single-layer banana sieve is approximately the shape of a banana, with an arc-shaped design, while a single-layer horizontal vibrating screen usually uses a rectangular or square screen box.

2. Material Movement Mode: In a single-layer banana sieve, materials roll, flip, and slide on the sieve surface, while materials in a single-layer horizontal vibrating sieve mainly move back and forth in the horizontal direction through the action of vibration force.

3. Screen Structure: The screen surface of a single-layer banana sieve is usually flat and of equal thickness to accommodate the rolling and sliding motion of materials. The screen surface of a single-layer horizontal sieve is generally flat and horizontal.
